Scores of persons were feared dead late Thursday evening when an explosion hit the busy Terminus area of Jos, capital of Plateau State.
Details of the attack were sketchy, but sources said emergency workers and security agents had cordoned off the area and evacuated the dead and the injured.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. However security sources said it had the fingerprints of Boko Haram.
Jos has been a cauldron of ethno- relgious crisis, and has suffered several terrorists attacks in the recent past.
