The Supreme Court of Nigeria has declared the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as the rightful winner of the Zamfara State Governorship Election.
The apex court upheld the decision of the lower court on the All Progressive Congress, APC primaries.
The Supreme Court ruled that APC had no candidates for all elective positions in Zamfara in the last election, declaring that all votes for APC are “wasted votes.”
It thereafter declared the PDP being the party with the second highest votes as winner.
