Presidential aspirant and Former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has dumped the People’s Democratic Party, PDP ahead of the 2023 election.
Reports say Kwankwaso will on Wednesday officially join the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Part of the letter reads, “It is with deep sense of responsibility that I write to notify you, that as a result of some serious and irreconcilable differences, I have reached the conclusion that my continued stay in the PDP is untenable and therefore effective from today, Tuesday 29th day of March, 2022, I have withdrawn my membership from the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP”.
Kwankwaso was a former Minister of Defence and served as a senator under the All Progressives Congress, APC, representing Kano Central between 2015 – 2019.
