Amaechi declares presidential aspiration tomorrow

The minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi is expected to make a formal declaration for his presidential aspiration this Saturday according to an information available to Pointblanknews.com.
Amaechi, a former governor of Rivers State is believed to be the annoited candidate of President Muhammadu Buhari to fly the flag of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the 2023 presidential election.
According to sources available to Pointblanknews.com, Amaechi is expected to tender his resignation as a member of the Federal Executive on or before Monday as required by the Electoral Act.
Recall that on Wednesday, the party had asked its members who are political appointees but have intentions to contest in the general election to comply fully with the intendment and letters of the Electoral Act.
The National Publicity Secretary, Barr. Felix Morka said, “The Ministers are members of the party. And the party is the party. Now, both the Ministers and other appointees and the party leadership have excellent counsel and guidance. I am sure everyone involved intends to comply fully with the intendment and letters of the Electoral Act.”
But according to the source, “Amaechi is set to resign to contest the APC presidential primary election. He is declaring tomorrow but his resignation will be done in a few days from now.”
