Army Kills 74 Boko Haram Terrorist in Borno

Military forces in Borno State says at least 74 suspected Boko Haram terrorist were last night killed  during a military offensive  on terrorist camps in  Galangi and Lawanti villages of  Borno State.

Spokesman of the 7 Division Nigerian Army in Borno State who is also the Deputy Director Army Public Relations (DDAPR) Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Dole confirmed the killing today  in Maiduguri

“The troops of the 7 Division Nigerian Army destroyed another Boko Haram terrorists Camp in Galangi and Lawanti villages within Mainok general area of Borno State on Thursday October 24, 2013. The operation which involved ground and aerial assault supported by Nigerian Air Force led to  the destruction of the identified terrorists camp, killing 74 terrorists while others fled with serious injuries.

“Likewise two Isuzu Tiger Pick Up Vehicles and 5 Hilux belonging to the insurgents were destroyed. Two soldiers we also wounded in action.

“The General Officer Commanding 7 Division Nigerian Army Maj General Obidah Ethan appreciates the general public for their resilience and cooperation by providing timely and credible information to security agencies. General Ethan reiterates the commitment of 7 Division to ensuring safety of lives and properties of all citizens within its area of responsibility.”
