He remarked: “As someone who understands your challenges, you can be rest assured that we will begin to get things right. The staff must be equipped to perform the tasks they are assigned to. I will support you and I expect your support in return.”
“The staff of NDDC must be properly equipped to do their jobs. We have come a long way as staff of this Commission and God has a plan for allowing everything that happens to us, even as indigenes of Niger Delta region. Our labour shall not be in vain,”
He said further: “Standing on the path of righteousness is what I will bring to the table.”
“With so many professionals, including engineers and PhD holders in various fields, it is obvious that there is sufficient capacity in the workforce. What is required is the will to do things right.”
Audu-Ohwavborua stated, “I will listen to you, you have a duty to offer advice. I’m not here to witch-hunt anyone. We will be open.”
He urged Directors and management staff to always share information with staff under them, noting that it was a sure way of avoiding rumour mongering.
