In continuation of its avowed pipeline bombing campaign in the Niger Delta
region, The Niger Delta Avengers bombed the Forcados 48 export line in
Delta State belonging to Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC).
The bombing occurred Friday morning.
The group had warned Shell not to effect repairs on its earlier damaged
pipelines until their demands were met by the President Buhari-led federal
government.
The Spokesman of the group, Mudoc Agbinibo, confirmed the attack.
“We warned SPDC not to go ahead with the repair work but they refused.
This is an example to all other multinationals”, he said.
The group had warned multi-national companies to cease further exploration
activities and evacuate their staff from the region.
It also gave the Nigerian military 48 hours to leave Niger Delta, warning
that it would launch missiles on any military aircraft that flies over the
Niger Delta airspace.
