Nervous over an imminent defeat, President Mohammadu Buhari has dispatched some Ministers and Top Aides to proceed to states where votes appear not enough to give him victory.
Sources told pointblanknews.com that Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Mr. Boss Mustapha and Minister for Interior General Abdulrahman Dambazzau have been sent to different states.
The two top aides according to insider sources are to help put pressure on Residence Electoral Commissioners in the states of interests to help pad up votes for Buhari.
“President is currently worried from reports of votes he is getting and he has made moves to ensure he gets favorable votes,” according to the source who does not want to be named.
According to the source” Government officials are meeting RECs in the states that Buhari is losing and demanding that they inflate the result.”
The source named SGF Boss Mustapha who is sent to Borno State to meet with the INEC REC and Abdulrahman Dambazzau who is dispatched to Kaduna to meet with the REC there.
Dambazzau arrived Kaduna and is said to be having a closed door meeting with the REC alongside Governor Nasir Elrufai.
Earlier Today, APC Chairman, Adams Oshiomole was in Kano to meet with the Kano state REC.
