Buhari’s Aide Linked With Plot To Kill U.S Military Veteran, President Trump Petitioned

by Our Reporter

A group, the Niger Delta Security Watch, has raised an alarm over an existing plot by some hired hands and sympathizers of the National Security Adviser (NSA) to President Muhammadu Buhari to assassinate or arrest and silence an America Citizen and Military Veteran, Mr. Kelsey Agama over his consistent battles against corruption at the Presidential Amnesty Program, PAP.

Agama is one of the leading voices for the development of the Niger Delta region.

The group called on President Donald John Trump of the United States of America and the Secretary of State Hon. Mike Pompeo to urgently intervene to stop this wicked plot.

The Niger Delta Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) was initiated as a security policy for the troubled region of the Niger Delta with erstwhile ex-agitators as beneficiaries.

Prof. Charles Quaker Dokubo, the immediate past Coordinator of the Niger Delta Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) was however the latest sample of corruption in Nigeria Institutions.

The group, through its National Coordinator, Comrade Sombie Igbami said the plot to assassinate the U.S. Military Veteran have kick-started with the call for his arrest, and the false claim by hired hands and sympathizers of the National Security Adviser Gen. Monguno of his alleged involvement in the N8.1billion contract scam which was published across the Nigeria media (The Sun Newspaper, Vanguard and other media outlets on 11th May, 2020).

According to Igbami,”the plot to kill Kelsey Agama is real and we call on President Donald Trump and Secretary Mike Pompeo – Department of State to urgently intervene to stop this alleged evil plot by officials at the Office of the National Security Adviser and the Presidential Amnesty Office in Nigeria to blackmail, intimidate and assassinate a United States Citizen and Military Veteran.“

He stated that the younger brother and spokesperson for the Agama family, Chief Comrade Preye Agama said that their family members are worried at the alleged plot to assassinate their  brother. The family is heartbroken for not knowing his present whereabouts.

The group called on the United States Government to intervene immediately as politically sponsored killings and extrajudicial killings are common occurrences in Nigeria.

For example, Mr. Chuks Okebata, a United States Army veteran, while visiting Nigeria, was abducted, and killed by some gunmen in his hometown in Umuduruorie, Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.

Nigeria is a country where cases of assassinations are common as the former Chief of Defense Staff Badeh was assassinated in an ambush along the Keffi – Abuja expressway on the evening of the 18th of December 2018, and Gunmen assassinated an Assistant Director of Administration in the State House, Abuja, Ms Laetitia Naankang Dagan. These are just a few cases of assassinations among several unreported cases of assassinations in Nigeria.

The various calls by the anti-corruption groups for accountability were stalled after the suspension of the accused Former Amnesty Coordinator, Professor Charles Quaker Dokubo.

The former Amnesty Boss Prof. Dokubo was a friend of the National Security Adviser, General Babagana Mohammed Monguno. Prof. Dokubo was nominated as the Amnesty Coordinator by Gen. Monguno (rtd.) in March 2018, which President Buhari approved.

However, as widely known and reported, while in office, Prof. Dokubo frequently flaunts at Niger Delta stakeholders that no one from the region could cause his friend the NSA Gen. Monguno (rtd.) and President Muhammadu Buhari to remove him from office because, out of the N5 Billion ($14 million USD) monthly allocation to the Amnesty office, Prof. Dokubo boast of giving kick-backs worth millions of dollars to the NSA Gen. Monguno (rtd.).

Following an international protest in February 2020 in front of the White House in Washington, DC., President Muhammadu Buhari approved the suspension of Prof. Dokubo for investigations of Public Funds Stealing, Fraud, Corruption, and Cover-Up to commence, including the now infamous five (5) days uninterrupted looting of the N60 Billion ($166.6million USD) training complex in BoroTown, Kaiama, Bayelsa State as a cover-up of their fraud.

The group further called on President Trump to prevail on President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently intervene and call his NSA Gen. Monguno to order before the looming crisis across the Niger Delta region and their peaceful request for a substantive Amnesty Coordinator from the Niger Delta to be appointed blows beyond proportion.

Niger Deltans feel insulted by the unwelcome and controversial Amnesty Caretaker Committee where not one member of the committee is from the Niger Delta region whose lands have been devastated by crude oil exploration and production activities for over fifty years, and contributes more than 95 percent of Nigeria foreign exchange earnings the statement reads.
