A Lagos–based human rights activist and Executive Chairman,Centre for
Human Rights and Social Justice(CHRSJ), Comrade Adeniyi Alimi
Sulaiman has urged the former Head of State and Presidential candidate
of the All Progressives Congress(APC) to ensure he collects his West
African School Certificate, WASC, results from the Cambridge University
before
returning to Nigeria.
Comrade Sulaiman also urged the leadership of Buhari’s party(APC) and
former President,Chief Olusegun Obasanjo to prevail on General Buhari
to collect his result from Cambridge before returning back to the
country, insisting that General Buhari did not posses Secondary School
Certificate as he claimed in form CF001 submitted to Independent
national Electoral Commission(INEC).
Speaking through a signed Statement which was made available online to
Journalists yesterday,CHRSJ Chief maintained that if General Buhari
failed to collect his controversial result from University of
Cambridge this time around, Buhari should voluntarily withdrawn from
the race, urging Buhari to use the opportunity to shame his critics
over controversial School Certificate by collecting it from University
of Cambridge.
Sulaiman said,”We believe General Muhammadu Buhari does not possess
School Certificate as he claimed but we want Nigerians to give him
benefir of doubt by bringing the result from University of Cambrdge
that claimed to conduct the said exemination during his London trip
and the result must tally with the earlier Statement of Result
released through online medium.
“This is high time for General Buhari to clear air and lay the
controversy surrounding his School certificate to rest before it is
too late.Nigeria are graciously waiting to see the original result of
Buhari of 1962 and we want to tell Nigerians that Buhari was enlisted
into the Nigeria Army on the basis of Principal’s recommendation
letter not basis of Secondary School Certificate. Also, failure of
General Buhari to bring the result during this trip,it means, the
Buhari acclaimed integrity is not complete and he should bury his face
in shame as we know that integrity begins with personal matters before
graduating into ultimately public matters. ”
