The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Abubakar Badaru hasDefence Minister harps on strategic management
highlighted the role of strategic defence management to the safety and stability of the country.
The Minister and the immediate past Governor of Jigawa State stated while delivering as a lecture titled “Strategic Defence Management in Nigeria: Ministry of Defence in Perspective” to participants of Course 32 at the National Defence College in Abuja on Saturday.
He noted that the Ministry of Defence under his watch will adopt a comprehensive approach to deliver on its core mandate of implementing strategies and policies aimed at making Nigeria a safe country for all and sundry.
In his words, defence management entails various measures and approaches to protect national interests, core values, and citizen well-being, adding that efficient defence management requires thematic approaches in planning, policy formulation, military strategy implementation, and resources management.
A statement issued by Mati Ali, Personal Assistant, Media and Publicity to the Minister quoted Badaru as saying that effective defence management hinges on strong leadership, clear communication, integrated planning, and flexible adaptability.
He commended the organizers of the lecture for their contribution to nation-building while expressing gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR for his unwavering support to the country’s defence, as outlined in his Renewed Hope Agenda.
