DIG Usman To Replace Magu As EFCC Chairman

Retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Sani Usman, is to
be named as the new Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission (EFCC), a source told Pointblanknews.comUsman, from Bauchi State, was DIG in charge of Training and Development
before his forced retirement in 2019, following the appointment of then
AIG Muhammed Abubakar Adamu, who is his junior, as Inspector-General of
Police.The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Mr.
Abubakar Malami, had recommended Usman and three other persons when it
became apparent that the suspended Acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim
Magu, would be removed.

The official announcement of Usman as a replacement for Magu is expected
to be made by the Presidency in a few days from now.
