he All Progressives’ Congress (APC) – led administration of Governor Adams Oshiomhole on March 24, 2014 celebrated as a landmark achievement the renovation of a building formerly housing Edo Broadcasting Service, as tax office.
Of interest is that the house was built several decades ago by a predecessor government.
The fanfare celebration of a renovation work carried out on an old building is, to say the least, mediocrity at its highest. This confirms our observation in Edo PDP that Oshiomhole’s APC-led government has never executed, from foundation to completion, any project of note.
It is sadenning that Governor Oshiomhole would in the twenty-first century roll out the drums to celebrate painting works done on a very old building
Edo PDP challenges Governor Oshiomhole to, in the spirit of accountability, make public how much he spent on renovating the building.
All the people of Edo State must insist on this. For we have it on good authority that the cost of the renovation work to the tax-paying public is a staggering and stupendous sum that the state government, in its accustomed practice, would eternally shroud in secrecy.
As a responsible national institution, Edo PDP will strive , in behalf of all Edo people, to ensure probity and a fair deal in the administration of the state’s commonwealth.

Chief Dan Osi Orbih
