EFCC arrests Raymond Dokpesi over $2 billion arms deal

The flame over alleged arms scandal involving the office of the former
National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, and the theft of N2.1 billion
from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) seems to be spreading day by
day with arrest of prominent members of the Kitchen cabinet of Former
President Goodluck Jonathan and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Barely 24 hours after the Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC)
arrested former National Security Adviser (NSA) Col. Sambo Dasuki and
former Minister of State for Finance, Amb. Bashir Yuguda, over the
matter,  the EFCC today arrested the Chairman of Africa Independent
Television, Raymomd Dokpesi.

Dokpesi was arrested this afternoon and whisked to the EFCC, where he
is now being interrogated.

According to EFCC sources, CBN paid N2.1 billion to the AIT chairman
on the instructions of the former National Security Adviser, Sambo
Dasuki.
