The EFCC has summoned Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, to come explain all he knows about the N450 million allocated to Borno State from the N23.29 billion campaign funds.
Pointblanknews.com gathered that he is expected to report to the EFCC’s Maiduguri office today.
.The EFCC is probing how Sheriff who is laying claim to the PDP chairmanship, is alleged to have received about N40 million from the cash allocated to the state.
The N40 million was allegedly given to Mohammed Kumalia for onward transmission to Sheriff.
The fund was allegedly facilitated by Diezani Alison-Madueke.
A former power minister, Mohammed Wakil had on June 6, admitted the receipt of the N450 million from Nenadi Usman.
It was also learnt that ,N40 million was allegedly given to Hon. Mohammed Kumalia by Wakil, for onward transmission to Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff for security purposes.
