Fayose: Anti impeachment protest shut down Ado Ekiti

Sequel to impeachment threats against Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti, a massive anti impeachment  protest few hours ago,  halted activities in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
 Yankarireporters correspondent reports that the development was , against moves by a faction of the State House of Assembly to impeach  Fayose over allegations of gross constitutional breaches.

 .Nineteen lawmakers of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ekiti State House of Assembly have sent a notice of gross misconduct to the Governor Ayodele Fayose, yesterday, saying impeachment process may soon commence against him.

Fayose had urged them to stop acting like jesters: “The script being acted by the APC is a failed one because no one, no matter how highly placed will be allowed to test the will of Ekiti people.”
He described the purported impeachment notice posted online by the APC lawmakers as “joke of the century,” adding that “The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly is Hon Dele Olugbemi and not Dr Adewale Omirin.”
In a statement issued on Saturday by the his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said; “Omirin is already in court, challenging his impeachment and common sense dictates that when you are challenging an action already in court, you have accepted the consequences of such action pending the determination of the suit you filed.”
