The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has invited top officers of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for questioning over alleged fraud and diversion of fund.
The letter which pointblanknews.com has a copy was written on the 17th of May, 2021by the Head of Operations, Michael Welkas and addressed to the National Chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus inviting the National Auditor, National Organising Secretary and Director of Finance of the PDP to appear before it between 19th and 21st of this month.
The letter states as follow, “The Commisson is investigatng an alleged case of Criminal Conspiracy, abuse of office, diversion of funds and fraud in which the need to obtain certain clarification from your Party has become imperative.
“In view of the above, you are requested to kindly release the under Iisted officers of your Party to attend an interview wilh the undersigned on the below scheduled dates, at Economic Governance Section 2 EFCC Headquarters, second floor, Plot 301& 302 Institute and Research Distict, Jabiri, Abuje by 1000 hours.”
It would be recalled that a member of the party Kazeem Afegbua a fortnight ago dragged the part leadership to EFCC and ICPC over alleged fraud in the party.
