Senator Grace Bent has said that the rebelling G7 Governors are being misled by allowing ” the issue of only one of them, Adamawa Governor, Admiral Murtala Nyako, to rule their conduct ”
According to Bent “the PDP stakeholders in Adamawa could not understand the basis they allowed Nyako to lure them into a fight against the President of Nigeria and the Party that gave them the tickets to be governors”.
She maintained that those who believe that the G7, who are arrow heads of the faction in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP were out to clean the political environment within the party were so wrong.
Bent who represented Adamawa South Senatorial district in an interview wondered why the G-7 governors allowed themselves to be used to further the cause of Gov. Nyako
The Adamawa state PDP stakeholder said, the governors could not be said to be on a mission to bring about level playing ground in PDP as they are insinuating.
She said the G7 governors are undemocratic by failing to investigate what she termed “the root of Nyako’s grievances with the PDP National Chairman” and while they equally did not give the PDP members in Adamawa fair hearing on the crises in the state which she stressed had snow balled into the current crisis within the PDP.
Bent blamed the governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi for the escalation of the crises in PDP, stating that as the Chairman of the Governors Forum, he had always been biased in his assessment of the issues within the party in respect of the interest of the governor of Adamawa state rather than being fair minded.
