The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai used state funds for the 2019 general elections in the state, according to a document obtained by pointblanknews.com.
This was disclosed in a letter by his political adviser, Uba Sani who solicited the balance of over N130 million for final payment of a campaign during the election.
Sani, after the last general election emerged Senator-elect to represent Kaduna Central senatorial district of the state at the National Assembly.
The letter which was made available to Pointblanknews.com is titled “Release Of Funds As Part Of The 2019 General Election For The Balance Of House to House Campaigns As Approved”
The letter signed by Sani as political adviser and dated January 15, 2019, reads in part, “Refer to the above subject as in accordance with the resolution of the meeting dated 20th November, 2018.
“You may wish to appprove the sum of N130, 550, 000. 00 (One hundred and thirty million, five hundred and fifty thousand naira only) for the final payment, please,” the letter stated.
