polls in units where ballot boxes are snatched in the state.
Igini said this while addressing newsmen on the conduct of the
Presidential and National Assembly elections in Akwa Ibom on Saturday.
“We are able to deliver ballot papers and result sheets in various polling
units apart from few that have one challenge or the other.
“What I can tell you emphatically is that there is no election, where
there is snatching of ballot papers or result sheets are taken to private
homes or somewhere to thumbprint.
“We will not accept it, those things are not going to work here and we are
not going to accept it. Those areas will stand as cancelled and we will
take them as non events,” igini said
He however, said that the conduct of the elections was not completely 100
per cent, adding that elections did not start accordingly in few centres
in the state due to some challenges.
Igini said the commission had learned lessons and promised to improve on
the governorship elections.
He added that the commission was able to deliver election materials to all
polling units across the state.
Igini said the elections were paradigm shift, saying that Akwa Ibom had
not been conducting elections in the past.
He expressed displeasure over irregularities in some local government
areas in the state.
CANDIDATE ATIKU ABUBAKAR
In view of the intelligence at our disposal of the plan by Buhari APC that
is already losing to swap results at Ward/LGA collation centers, I am
directed to inform you, opposition party agents, party leaders, media and
committed voters to mobilise to your Ward/LGA collation centres now and
remain there until results are collated and announced up to
senatorial/house of representatives in the centres.
Be vigilant and resist any attempt by APC thugs or compromised uniformed
men/armed groups to tamper with already announced polling unit results
which we have majority of them.
Our situation room results have shown that the opposition consensus
candidate and PDP Flag Bearer Atiku Abubakar is leading in majority of the
over 120,000 polling unit in the country and the APC is mobilising armed
thugs and compromised officials to attack collation centres by midnight
and swap results and disrupt collation and tear some results and force
INEC to cancel some units.
The opposition is warning INEC and the security agencies that any result
that does not reflect the already won polling unit figures will not be
accepted. Let the original figures be collated with tampering.
START GOING TO YOUR WARD/LGA COLLATION CENTRE NOW, MOBILISE AND DEFEND THE
