It was a cheering news for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as two
members of the National Assembly, Senator Dino Melaye, Kogi, and Hon.
Adams Jagaba, Kaduna, decamped from the All Progressive Congress, APC.
Melaye who had been away from the Senate, for over a month after the
Nigerian Police arrested him and he was subsequently admitted at the
intensive care unit of the National Hospital, Abuja, returned to the
Senate in clutches and neck support.
Melaye said he was no longer comfortable sitting on his seat at the wing
of the All Progressive Congress (APC), saying he would cross over to the
wing of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
On the other hand, the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on
Interior, Adams Jagaba, also formally decamped to the Peoples Democratic
Party, PDP, from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Jagaba, who is from Kaduna State, on Wednesday, announced his defection to
the PDP on the floor of the House in Abuja.
Members of the PDP caucus in the House received him with joy and jubilation.
