President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will begin a working vacation in Europe on Thursday, as part of his 2025 annual leave.
The president’s spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, announced this in a brief statement.
He stated that the vacation will last for 10 working days.
He added that Tinubu will spend time in both France and the United Kingdom before returning to Nigeria.
Recall that the President has been abroad recently, drawing criticism from opposition members.
In August 2025, President Tinubu attended the TICAD 9 Summit in Yokohama, Japan, where he met Japanese leaders and investors before traveling to Brazil for a two-day state visit with President Lula da Silva focused on trade and technology.
Previously, in June, he paid a state visit to Saint Lucia, strengthening diplomatic, cultural, and economic ties with Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre.
In April, Tinubu undertook a three-week working visit to France and the United Kingdom, holding investor meetings while managing governance remotely.
In January 2025, he visited the United Arab Emirates and met President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week to discuss economic and aviation partnerships. Shortly afterward, he attended the Mission 300 Africa Energy Summit in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, promoting Nigeria’s energy transition plan.
These trips underscore Tinubu’s efforts to attract foreign investments, bolster diplomacy, and enhance Nigeria’s global profile. Nigeria globally.
