Defense Headquarters Deny Release of Abducted Chibok Girls

The Defense Headquarters have denied reports that two buses said to be

driving into Maimalari Baracks, Maiduguri was carrying the abducted Chibok
girls.

Nigerian Times, a news portal had reported that “a reliable source told
the Nigerian Times exclusively that the white cloured Borno Express owned
buses drove straight into the barracks under heavy security guard.”

Pointblanknews.com could not verify the report.

But the Defense headquarters in a statement said the report is false.
The statement said: “Against the widespread news on a purported release of
Chibok School Girls today, the Nigerian Defence Headquarters has refuted
the report.”

The Director Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade said that
: “the story circulating in respect of the release of the Chibok girls is
not true please.”

He added that “The buses that drove into the barracks were conveying other
individuals.”
