Suspected Boko Haram members today murdered two Indians and injured three, when the sect attacked a Gum Arabic Factory in Maiduguri, Borno state. They also made away with N900,000 in cash.
The Joint Task Force (JTF) spokesman in Borno State, Lieutenant Colonel Sagir Musa confirmed the killing in a statement .
According to the JTF “Information available to the JTF Operation RESTORE ORDER indicated that suspected members of Boko Haram terrorists attacked a Gum Arabic Factory located at Bayern Quaters, Maiduguri metropolis today at about 1000 hours during heavy rain. The incident led to the death of 2 Indians, 1 wounded and is receiving treatment at the State Specialist Hospital.
But against what the JTF claim that 1 person sustained injury, sources close to the factory said 3 people are now in a critical condition at the State Specialist Hospital having sustained serious cut on neck.
The attackers were said to have gained entrance into the factory as normal customers who had come to do legitimate business with the Indians before the killings took place
The JTF Spokesman also said ” the Suspects made away with Ninety Nine Thousand Naira from the factory. The area has been cordoned off and search is in progress with the view to apprehending the culprits.”
