The U.S War college has affirmed that the All Progressive Congress, APC,
Presidential Candidate, General Mohammadu Buhari earned a Diploma from its
institution.
Carol Kerr, U.S War College Public Affairs officer in an email confirmed
that Buhari was a 1980 Graduate of the institution.
It is not clear if such Diploma awarded for a short courses in the U.S War
College is an equivalent of a School Certificate which usually takes years
to complete.
The controversy surrounding General Buhari’s credentials submitted to the
Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has become intense
following an affidavit he submitted to the Electoral body in place of his
credentials.
Buhari had through his affidavit stated that the originals of his academic
records are with the military board. The military board had in turn
confirmed they have his academic records but have failed to release the
records to show if it is indeed an equivalent of a school certificate.
The military board also said it does not take more that 24 hours for
anyone to obtain such records
