2015: Abia PDP Releases Names Of Assembly Candidates

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abia State chapter has released the names of its candidates for the 2015 state Assembly polls.

State Chairman of the party, Senator Emma Nwaka who disclosed this in Umuahia, urged the winners of the party’s tickets to be magnanimous in victory and embrace those who lost out.

Pointblanknews.com gathered that publication of the list of successful candidates of the state house primaries which held across the 24 state constituencies was delayed because of the re-run elections in Bende South, Umunneochi, Ukwa East, Isiala Ngwa South and Ohafia South state constituencies on Monday.

Among the successful candidates are Chijioke Okoro, (Arochukwu State Constituency), Egwuronu Ochuru Obasi (Ohafia North), Kingsley Imaga (Ohafia South), Chima Mgbeke (Umunneochi  State Constituency), Chukwudi John Ogele (Isuikwuato) ,Cosmos Ndukwe (Bende North), Ikerionwu Okarima ( Bende South), Emeka Ejiogu (Umuahia North)

Others are Chukwudi Apugo (Umuahia East), Chinedum Orji (Umuahia Central) , Jerry Uzosike (Umuahia South), Ekeleme Chima Ikeije (Ikwuano), Martin Azubuike (Isiala Ngwa North), Kalu Chikwendu (Isiala Ngwa South), Kennedy Azubuike, (Osisioma Ngwa North) Emeka Alozie (Osisioma Ngwa South).

The list also include, Blessing Nwagba (Aba North), Kate Maduako (Aba Central), Blessing Iheasimuo (Aba South), Munachim Alozie (Ugwunagbo) Solomon Akpulonu (Obingwa East), Thomas Nkoro (Obingwa West), Paul Taribo (Ukwa East) and Tony Mezie Nwubani (Ukwa West)

The state party boss appealed to those who were not successful in the primaries to remain faithful to the party.

“This is not the time to jump ship. It is always easy to think that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence.  Those who switch party randomly have always come to grief. We do not want that to be your lot. The party will soon come up with a program aimed at providing a soft landing for the successful ones.

Nwaka urged the party’s delegates to use their voting power right in the Federal House of Representatives, Senate and Governorship primaries billed to hold  December 6, 7 and 8, respectively.
