… Presidential, governorship aspirants to pay N23m, N12m respectively
The Zenith Labour Party has said Nigerian youths, women and people living with disabilities who are desirous of participating in the ongoing electoral process ahead of the 2023 general elections will be given nomination forms for any of the elective offices for free.
The party however fixed N23million and N12million for Expression of Interest and Nomination Form for the Presidential and Governorship offices.
In a release issued by the ZLP National Secretary, Comrade Yahaya Makama, the party said its National Working Committee of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) after its meeting Thursday approved the sale of Nomination forms to prospective aspirants and to make it affordable to youths, women and People living with Disabilities.
He said, “The reduction of the nomination fees is to allow credible Nigeria’s who are popular but hindered by high nomination fees charged by Political Parties. They now have the opportunity to use a platform that is pocket friendly in their quest to serve. Youths, women and people living with Disabilities are to obtain their Nominations forms Free.
“The Zenith Labour Party is a Gender sensitive Political Party and we believe in inclusiveness of women and youths in the governance of the Country. Women and youths now have a very good opportunity to actualize their Political dreams.
“We should all move away from the social media Politics to practical grassroots politics to enable us bring the positive change that we all desire in our country.”
Other categories of forms include the State Assembly (N350,000), House of Representative (N700,000) and Senate (N2,000,000).
