Ex- Niger Delta leader, John Abugor, has lauded High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, on his 55th birthday, praising his contributions to oil security, peace, and development in the Niger Delta.
He described Tompolo as a rare statesman and influential Niger Delta figure whose leadership continues to inspire confidence, stability, and progress across the region, noting that his life reflects resilience, courage, and a deep commitment to the development of the Niger Delta.
“At 55, Tompolo stands as a rare symbol of resilience, courage, and visionary leadership in the Niger Delta,” Abugor said.
Abugor noted that Tompolo’s rise from the creeks of the Niger Delta to national prominence remains a powerful example of sacrifice and determination, adding that his journey underscores purpose-driven leadership and long-standing dedication to regional peace.
“His journey from the creeks to national prominence is a testament to sacrifice, determination, and purpose-driven leadership,” he added.
He further commended Tompolo’s role in strengthening national oil security through Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, stating that the firm has made significant progress in reducing crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism, with positive effects on national production and revenue.
“Through his contributions to oil security, he has helped restore confidence in Nigeria’s energy sector,” Abugor stated.
The ex-militant leader also praised the management of Tantita Security Services, particularly Chief Kestin Pondi, for what he described as a credible and well-structured presentation before the National Assembly, which he said earned the company strong legislative endorsement.
“The endorsement by the National Assembly reflects the trust and confidence in Tantita’s capacity to deliver on national assignments,” he noted.
As Tompolo marks his 55th birthday, Abugor prayed for continued good health, wisdom, and greater accomplishments, describing him as a stabilising force and a unifying figure whose legacy continues to shape the Niger Delta and Nigeria at large.
