Wife of Rivers State Governor Dame Judith Amaechi has expressed shock over
the death of eleven Bayelsa women who were killed in a ghastly motor
accident at Ahoada along the East West Road. Mrs Amaechi in a statement
signed by her media Assistant Dike Bekwele said such death was
regrettable.
Mrs Amaechi who described the death as a national tragedy said the nation
has a role to mourn these women who died at this time of our national life
” my heart bleeds that our mothers and sisters who are devoted wives and
companions could be cut in their prime,this is indeed a national tragedy.
Governor Amaechi’s wife who condoled with their families and the good
people of Bayelsa state, prayed that the Almighty God should imbue their
families with the fortitude to bear the loss” my heart goes to their
families who are indeed pained and grieved over this loss , I pray that
the almighty God imbue them with the grace and meekness of the heart, the
fortitude to bear the loss”.
She urged women to arise up and pray against untimely death as the nation
matches towards next month General Elections.
