In its bid to reclaim Anambra State ahead of the November 16 governorship election, The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday set up a campaign committee for Anambra governorship election lead by Vice President, Namadi Sambo.
Other members of the committee are: PDP National Chairman, Bamanga Tukur, PDP Board of Trustee Chairman, Tony Anenih, Senate President, David Mark, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, Alex Ekweme, Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha, Plateau state governor, Jonah Jang among others.
Addressing newsmen on the preparation of the party and setup of the committee, the party’s spokesman, Olisa Metuh maintained that PDP will win the Anambra governorship election coming up November 16.
He added Tony Nwoye is their candidate for the election while rubbishing insinuations that the PDP has an alliance with another party ahead of the election.
He emphasized that the party is poised to provide logistics and legal assistance to make sure that the party wins Anambra state.
“NWC is very mindful of the importance of Anambra election at this critical moment and we want to inform our members that on Monday all issues pertaining to the party will be drop and we will focus on Anambra election. We will give every assistance including legal to ensure that we win Anambra governorship election.
