Imo state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha says the recent merger of some political parties in the country would sweep away the ruling PDP in 2015.
Okorocha who stated this during the defection of his Commissioner for Community Development and Chieftaincy Matters, Barr.
Ugochi Nnanna Okoro to APGA at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, noted that the development has sounded a death warning to the PDP.
The governor said, “APGA is a good thing that has happened to us. This is an operation to sweep PDP away. God Almighty has answered our prayers. When PDP was in power, the people cried and now, APGA is in power, the people are rejoicing. I support the merger because it will sweep away PDP.â€
He commended the Commissioner for her decision to join APGA, describing it as a welcome development.
Okorocha further alleged that the PDP recorded no achievement during the 12 years it ruled Imo state.
