Bad Roads: South East, An Accident Centre; Says Senator Anyanwu

The Senator representing Imo East Senatorial zone in the National Assembly, Chris Anyanwu says roads in the South East geo-political zone could best be described as an accident centre.

Anyanwu who spoke at the at a seminar organized for road users  by the Federal Road Safety Corp(FRSC) at Owerri, Imo state, lambasted the federal government for the deplorable state of roads in the South East citing the Enugu “ Port Harcourt Expressway, as well as the Enugu “ Onitsha road.

The senator lamented that the federal government usually experiments with roads in the zone by awarding contracts to companies who lack the capacity to ensure quality jobs.

She further observes that roads in the South West and Northern zones are far better than those in the South East, stressing that the only good road in the zone is the Onitsha “ Owerri Expressway.
