Boko Haram Executes Two Policemen In Bauchi

Two policemen were on Wednesday shot dead by unknown gunmen suspected to be members  of the Boko Haram Islamist sect.

According to reports, the two policemen were attacked at a check point in Gubi Village, along Bauchi-Kano Road

Commissioner of Police in the state, Muhammad Ladan said the two policemen died at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi, where they were rushed to after the attack.

“The incident is currently being investigated with a view to unraveling the culprits,” he said, urging the general public to complement the effort of the security agencies by reporting any suspicious movements around them.

A team of well-armed Police personnel has barricaded the attacked patrol centre in a bid to bolster security in the area.

Meanwhile, the  Joint Task Force in Kogi State has announced its arrest of three people suspected to have been connected with Monday night’s attack on the Deeper Life Bible Church in Otite, Okene.

It said the suspects, two men and a woman, who were arrested in Okeneba, have been whisked to Lokoja for questioning.
