Buhari Advises Nigerian Youths Against Electoral Violence

General Muhammad Buhari, the All Progressives Congress ( APC)

Presidential Aspirant on Monday advised Nigerian youths to resist any form
of violence to ensure smooth conduct of the electoral processes.

General Buhari was speaking while addressing the party delegates in Sokoto.

He told the youths that as leaders of tomorrow, they should ensure that
all hands should be geared towards ensuring positive democratic change in
the country.

He said that the youths remain the vital tool needed at this material time
to move the country forward politically.

” You should not be intimidated by desperate politicians who may want to
be in power through dubious method,” he said.

He also called on them to ensure they acquire the permanent voters card as
it is the great asset needed to ensure the emergence of good democratic
leaders.

He said acquiring the cards will enable the youth and teeming members of
the party elect candidates of their choice.

He said that it was only by so doing that the leaders that will have the
interests of the people at heart will emerge.

He also advised teeming members of the party not to sell their voters
card but to use it in electing transparent leaders that would utilize and
manage the abundant human and material resources available.

He said that his party, the All Progressives Congress( APC) would address
the issue of power supply and security if elected. He also said that APC
led administration will focus on agriculture, education, effective health
care delivery among others.

Speaking earlier Alhaji Maigari Dingyadi, a leader of the party in the
state, informed Gen Buhari that the APC in Sokoto is committed toward
ensuring political change in the country.

He said that the country is blessed with human and material resources
needed to move the country forward but lacks the political will to do so.

He expressed optimism that the party will win the forthcoming general
elections adding that Nigerians desire a political change at this
material time to move the country forward.
