President Muhammadu Buhari’s priority is Genocide-for-oil, not Boko Haram, or corruption or the fuel, power shortages etc. that he claimed in his Inaugural speech on May 29, 2015, social critic, world renowned poet, and journalist, Chinweizu Ibekwe, has said
The poet who prefers to be simply addressed as Chinweizu said “At home we face enormous challenges. Insecurity, pervasive corruption, the hitherto unending and seemingly impossible fuel and power shortages are the immediate concerns.
Chinweizu expressed regret that instead of Buhari to appoint ministers and tackle the myriad of problems on ground,It has been confirmed that Nigeria Air Force, under the directives of the Buhari-led administration, raided Ikot Obiokut, a border community in Cross River state for reasons not yet clear to observers.
He said “An anonymous reporter confirmed that raid by Hind helicopter gunships using incendiary bombs massacred over three hundred villagers and about twenty militants. One observer who wishes to remain anonymous said: “It seems the present Federal Government is avenging for the killed Boko Haram terrorists.”
according to Chinweizu “Is this massacre of Niger Deltans what Buhari regards as “[extending] my hand of fellowship to them so that we can bring peace and build prosperity for our people.”
The poet stated further “What is happening in the Niger Delta is pure criminality of the highest order, arising from total disregard for constituted authority. In Iraq, thousands of people lost their lives because of an insurrection against the government during the reign of former Iraqi leader, Saddam Hussein. We can do away with 20 million militants for the rest 120 million Nigerians to live.” (Emphasis added) –2009 An incitement to genocide by Bala Ibn N’Allah of Kebbi State, a Caliphate member of the Nigerian House of Representatives. (The Guardian, Thursday, May 28, 2009)”
Chinweizu maintained that ” Buhari’s mantra of “change” turns out to be change from fighting Boko Haram to napalming defenseless villagers in the oil producing Niger Delta. In 2005, Boko Haram was adopted and sponsored by Buhari’s fellow Caliphate politicians as their Jihadist army for reconquering power in Nigeria. Having retaken power with help from Boko Haram, they have swiftly resumed their interrupted project of making war on the people of the Niger Delta whose oil the Caliphate insists does not belong to the people of the Niger Delta but to “the North”—i.e. the people of the Caliphate’s home territory.
That’s like saying that the oil in Texas belongs to North Dakotans, and not the Texans”
The social critic said further “Before Jonathan became president, the Caliphate used the Nigerian armed forces to destroy communities in the Niger Delta, as in the 1999 sacking of Odi by the Caliphate-loyalist Obasanjo Government. Under Jonathan, peace returned to the Niger Delta through an Amnesty program. That was unacceptable to the Caliphate, and they used Boko Haram to carry out their threat to make the country ungovernable for Jonathan”
According to him “With Jonathan finally out and Buhari in, they have swiftly resumed their interrupted project of destroying the people of the Niger Delta. And as Bala N’Allah revealed, their aim is to seize the oilfields by genocide. Kill off 20 million of Nigerians in the Niger Delta so that the rest of Nigerians, under Caliphate rule, can enjoy in peace the oil of the exterminated Niger Deltans”.
“With all his sanctimonious talk of “disciplinary steps [to be] taken against proven human right violations by the Armed Forces.” Buhari should be reminded that napalming alleged thieves violates their human right to a free and fair trial. His war on oil thieves is a human rights violation by the armed forces of which he is the Commander-in-Chief” he said
Chinweizu then asked ” What disciplinary steps will he take against himself for ordering this human rights violation, this war crime, this crime against humanity? But more to the point and realistically: What disciplinary step is the world, through the UN and the ICC, prepared to take against Buhari?”
