*CONFERMENT OF CHIEFTAINCY TITLE ON GOV, FAYOSE A HONOUR WELL DESERVED- WIKE*

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike says the Chieftaincy Title
bestowed on the Ekiti State Governor, Chief Ayodele Fayose by the Ado Ekiti
Monarch is a honour well deserved.

The Governor stated this during a courtesy call at the Palace of the Ado
Ekiti Monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe
Aladesanmi 111 Ewi of Ado Ekiti to felicitate with him on the celebration
of the 2017 Udiroko Festival and to thank him on the conferment of the
chieftaincy Title, Apesin of Ado Ekiti on Governor Ayodele Fayose.

Represented by his Deputy Dr. (Mrs.) Ipalibo Harry Banigo, Governor Wike
said Governor Fayose deserves to be honoured because of the high level of
commitment, love and selfless service he has rendered to his people.

He said Governor Fayose is not only the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic
Party Governor’s Forum but a friend of the Rivers People and a dependable
Political ally.

According to him *“the conferment of the prestigious title of Apesin of Ado
Ekiti will spur the Governor to render more selfless Services to the Ekiti
People and his people will be better for it”.*

Governor Wike prayed the Almighty God to continue to bless guide and give
Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe and Governor Ayodele Fayose the wisdom to
continue to render selfless services to their People.

Welcoming Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike to his Palace Oba Rufus Adeyemo
Adejugbe thanked the Governor for his kindness and love for the Palace, the
People of Ekiti State and expressed the hope that the Governor will be
present to witness the 2018 edition of the Udiroko Festival.

It would be recalled that the Udiroko Festival is an age long annual
festival of thanksgiving to their creator by the Ado Ekiti People in Ekiti
State South West Nigeria.
