The Delta Government has approved N7.7 billion for the construction of two flyovers in Asaba and Warri to ease transport congestion in the cities.
The Commissioner for Works, Mr Funkekeme Solomon, said this on Thursday at news conference in Asaba.
Solomon said that the essence of the flyovers was to raise the standard of Asaba and Warri as well as reduce traffic congestion in the areas.
He said the process for the award of the contracts had begun.
Solomon explained that aside the flyovers, the construction of some feeder roads in the state was ongoing and nearing completion.
He said that the feeder roads would link major roads in the state capital and ease traffic congestion in Asaba and its environs.
