EFCC Nabs 120 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Lagos

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 120 suspected internet fraudsters, including 95 men and 25 women, during a major operation across various locations in Lagos.
Operatives from the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 conducted the arrests on Monday, May 19, 2025.
The Agency said the operation was successful following credible intelligence and extensive surveillance related to their alleged involvement in internet fraud.
During the coordinated raid, authorities recovered a significant haul of items.
These include 26 exotic cars, expensive jewelry, numerous smartphones, laptops, and several incriminating documents.
The suspects are currently undergoing further investigation by the EFCC. They are expected to be arraigned in court once the investigation is complete.
