An Egyptian national, 56-year-old Mohammed Saleh, died on Friday night after collapsing while having dinner at the Abuja Continental Hotel, Wuse.
According to the hotel’s Security Supervisor, Francis Yusuf, the incident occurred around 9:24 p.m. Saleh was dining with three companions when he suddenly slumped.
He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and later referred to Wuse District Hospital, where a doctor confirmed him dead on arrival.
“The body has been deposited in the hospital morgue for autopsy,” Yusuf said.
As of press time, the FCT Police Command spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, had yet to respond to inquiries regarding the circumstances surrounding Saleh’s death.
