The Ekiti State Government has taken delivery of another set of 4176 laptop computers for public secondary schools in the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the latest batch of computers would be distributed to both teachers and students.
The state Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Dr Eniola Ajayi, stressed the commitment of the state government to improve the standard of teaching and learning.
She said the government was partnering with various organisations in the private sector to realise the objective of transforming education in the state.
Ajayi noted that the passion being displayed by the Gov. Kayode Fayemi administration to make the state an ICT nerve centre had made the partnership possible.
The commissioner explained that 3,511 laptops would go to teachers while 665 would be given to the students.
She urged both the teachers and students to avail themselves of the opportunity and also cultivate maintenance culture.
Ajayi called on the people of the state to support the present administration to move education forward. (NAN)
