Former Lagos State Commissioner, Ademola Adeniji Adele has died early
Thursday in India.
Family sources say that former Commissioner of Sports during the
government of Babatunde Raji Fashola died at the age of 60 after a
successful surgery.
The politician was said to have travelled to India early this year because
of an undisclosed ailment.
Prior to his death, Adele had relocated from his Festac residence to
Badagry where he was rearing cattle.
Family sources however revealed that Adele will be flown from India to
Nigeria on Friday.
He will be buried on Saturday at his residence in Festac, Lagos state.
Reacting to the news, Nigeria Football Federation said it was shocked at
the demise of the late Adele.
Its Technical Committee boss, Chris Green said on Thursday morning that
Adele will be remembered for his giant strides.
“it’s sad. RIP. My heart goes to his family, friends and the good people
of Lagos State,” Green said.
