Nokia Corporation, one of the world’s biggest telecommunication companies is undoubtedly meeting the demands of its numerous customers globally, and Nigeria in particular.
Recently, the telecommunications giant introduced the Lumia 530, the lowest-priced windows mobile phone ever produced by Nokia.
A dual SIM device, little wonder the Lumia 530 is a must-have in markets like Nigeria where multi-SIM capability is a necessity.
One thing that Nokia always seemed to get right with almost every single new launch was product design. The phone is of course made completely of plastic but it doesn’t feel cheap with no room for compromise of standard.
Nokia Lumia 530 comes with a smoothly curved back, and the 4-inch screen ensures easy handling. It also has an integrated Adreno 302 GPU.
In terms of memory space there is only 512MB of RAM with 4GB of storage space, of which only about a gigabyte is available for users. It is therefore great relief that the phone accepts micro-SD cards of up to 64GB.
In addition, there is a 5-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera to the device, while the two SIM cards can connect to 3G networks. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 are the other connectivity standards that the phone can conveniently accommodate, with in-built FM radio.
A 1430mAh battery provides the juice for the phone to work effectively and for longer hours, this looks like a good offer to some phone users who may not have access to constant power supply.
The camera on the Lumia 530 Dual SIM can capture only 480p videos. The quality of captured video is so great. The camera application has a good number of manual options available for users who wish to tweak settings. It captures impressive and high resolution images even in soft and low-light conditions. The pictures captured are detailed and worth sharing on social networks. The phone has a quality display which produces decent colours and offers good viewing angles. For those unfamiliar with the Lumia 530, the handset was announced back in third quarter of 2014 and it was Microsoft’s first attempt at a budget smartphone post-acquisition of Nokia’s cellphone division. The handset was designed to be the successor of the previous Lumia series which surprisingly enough proved to be one of Nokia’s and the Windows Phone platforms’ best-selling device.
