GOVERNOR OKOROCHA SWEARS IN NEW ADVISERS, ASSISTANTS AND HEADS OF MDAS

The newly appointed Senior Special Assistants, Executive Assistants,
Directors General, Managing Directors and other Heads of Commissions and
Parastatals in Imo State have been sworn into power by the state governor,
Owelle Rochas Okorocha.
Addressing the appointees at the Ahiajoku Convention Centre recently,
governor Okorocha said their appointment was by merit which gives them
opportunity to serve the people by contributing their own quota towards
ensuring good governance and improved standard of living for Imo
citizenry.
Governor Okorocha who described their new position as a stepping stone to
political greatness warned them to resist pressure from anyone or group of
persons who may try to distract them from achieving the set goals of the
Rescue Mission government in the state.
He charged them to discharge their duties with optimum dedication and be
courteous towards the people they are called to serve.
The governor used the occasion to confirm the appointment of Mrs. Esther
Obong Egbuna as the substantive Director General of Imo Broadcasting
Corporation, Owerri while Chief Chike Okorie heads Imo Rice Ltd, Mr. Frank
Ibezim for Imo Poultry Ltd and Hon. Henry Ike serves in ENTRACO and
others.
Owelle Okorocha also put Chief Gibson Njemanze as the Mayor of Owerri,
Chief Tony-Black Nduka for Okigwe zone and Chief Goddy Esom Obodo for Orlu
mayoral.
Among the senior Special Assistants are Mr. Sam Onwuemeodo for Media,
Pastor Henrietta Jacobs for Public Affairs and Hon. Alan B. Onyemaechi for
Inter Party Relations among others.
Special Assistants and Executive Assistants include Hon. Okey David
Anyikwa, Mrs. Ogechi Ololo, Mr. Mellon Osofia among many others.
Responding, the SSA on Media, Mr. Sam Onwuemeodo thanked the Governor for
the opportunity to be part of the rescue mission and pledged to work
towards the greater good of the state.
Adding his voice, the SA on Inter Party Relations, Chief Alan B.
Onyemaechi said he will apply measures to strengthen the political
machinery of government by interfacing with politicians from other parties
with the view to bringing them on board to the Rescue Mission family
