President Goodluck Jonathan has applauded the United States decision to place a $7 Million and $16 Million ransom on the Abubakar Shekau, leader of Boko Haram and other terrorists operating within the West African region.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati who conveyed the President’s feeling in a chat with media men said the decision of the U.S Government is a welcomed development..
“It is a positive development. We welcome any effort of the international community to support Nigeria’s effort at waging war against terrorism and its perpetrators.
“What this prove is that terrorism is a global phenomenon that require global effort at combating. Nigeria believes that the international community needs to come together to combat terrorism,” Abati said.
