The Joint Task Force, JTF, raided and killed five suspected Boko Haram members including a woman at the Dan Marawa area within the Kano metropolis this morning.
No member of the JTF was killed during the gun battle which lasted several hours according to an eye witness account.
According to a top Security Source, residence in the area gave information to the JTF operatives on the suspicious activities of the men and woman who were killed.
Pointblanknews.com recalled that three days ago in a silent operation, JTF, arrested five Boko Haram members. As at the time of filling this report, Dan Marawa area of Kano and other strategic places have been taken over by security operatives.

Spokesperson for the JTF, Lieutenant Ikedichi Iweha did not deny the report. A JTF source said an official statement will soon be released.
