JTF Kills Four Boko Haram Terrorists in Maiduguri

The Joint Task Force (JTF) Operating in Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital today says it killed four suspected Islamic Militant sect , Boko Haram during a special operation carried out on suspected hide outs of the group in separate locations within the metropolis.
Spokesman of the JTF Lieutenant Colonel Sagir Musa in an e.mail statement confirmed that  Four identified Boko Haram Terrorists sub commanders including two experts in the manufacturing of Improvised Explosive Devices were killed in a shot out in Maiduguri.

” Two soldiers were wounded during the operations while arms and ammunitions recovered.  The items recovered  are planned to be used by the terrorists for operation “Black Christmas” – aimed to disrupt peaceful conduct of the impending Christmas celebration in Borno State.” Musa said.

The JTF spokesman added their attack on the Boko Haram enclave was successful base on” sustained follow up operations between 3 – 5 December by the Task Force at Sabon Gere, Sabon Layin Gwange, Dala Sajeri, Biafra and Sulemanti areas of the metropolis”
Other items recovered according to the JTF include;

a. 16 AK 47 Rifles    b. 1 Pistol
c. empty magazines
d. 1 G3 Rifle e. 176 assorted ammunition f. 24 quantity of assorted primed IEDs Gas Cylinders g. 12 pieces of IEDs remote control switches h. 6 assorted IEDs and incendiary materials/ chemicals.
i. 15 small primed IED Cans
