Malala in Nigeria, meets Chibok girls’ relations

The Pakistani girl shot by the Taliban and left for dead for supporting education Malala Yousafzai arrived Nigeria at the weekend as part of her global campaign for the girl-child education.

Malala’s visit coincided with her 17th birthday.

During her stay, Malala is expected to meet with relations of over 200 school girls kidnapped by Boko Haram about three months ago in Chibok, Borno State.

She told reporters shortly after her arrival in Abuja that her wasn’t to lend support to the global campaign for the girls’ release.

The campaigner however admitted that terrorism was a big threat to education, especially for the girl child.
