Ondo State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko has sacked three of his Special Assistants (SA).
They are Adesoji Ojomo, Chris Anota and Kayode Agunloye.
Governor Mimiko took the decision following reports of dereliction of duty by the sacked aides and their negative acts as it affects activities of government.
In a statement issued by the State’s Commissioner for Information, Mr Kayode Akinmade on Monday,
there have been various reports concerning the activities of the sacked aides which negates the principle of the Dr Olusegun Mimiko’s administration.
According to the Information Commissioner, there have been reports of the activities of the aides which casts aspersion on the government and portray it in bad light, hence their dismissal.
“Three aides to the Ondo state Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko have been dismissed. The sacked aides who operated in their capacities as Special Assistants to Mr Governor were dismissed for dereliction of duty, absconding and engaging in acts that cast aspersion on the government as well as portray it in bad light.” Akinmade explained.
The dismissal he said, takes immediate effect.
