President of the Senate, Senator David Mark, yesterday commended the Super Falcons for defeating their Zambian counterpart 6-0 at the ongoing Africa Women Championship in Zambia.
Senator Mark also urged the women national football team to ensure a total defeat of Namibia women national team in the Semi-final match scheduled for the Sam Najoma Stadium on Friday.
According to the President of the Senate, the Super Falcons have continued to prove its worth in the eight – nation tournament and therefore deserved the support of every Nigerian in order to win the tournament.
“The Super Falcons remains the pride of every Nigerian at this time of our national sports history. We must continue to give them their well deserved national support and ensure they win the tournament:
“You (Super Falcons) must not relent in your efforts. Your defeat of the Zambians must serve as an elixir for a total defeat of the Namibians on Friday”, Senator Mark further counseled.
