Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Oluseyi Petinrin says Nigerian Military would never descend so low as to dialogue with the Boko Haram sect.
This position negates the present Federal Government Moves to engage the terrorist sect in a round table discussions as part of measures to bring a lasting solution to ongoing bombings and killings in the northern region.
Petinrin alongside the Inspector General of Police Mohammed Abubakar visited crisis prone area of Maiduguri today where they said Military action would continue until a time when security situation improves.
According to Petinrin ” we are not in any way ready to dialogue with terrorist, the Nigerian Military does not have the locost- standi to negotiate with terrorist”
The CDS who paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Kashim Shettim assured the governor of his continued support towards addressing the security situation.
While addressing some Joint Task Force (JTF) troops at their headquarters Petinrin commended them for their gallantry and urge the work in accordance of their rules of engagement.
